The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business’ part-time MBA and UT’s master’s degree in nursing were named among the best programs in the country in the 2024 edition of “Best Graduate Schools” by U.S. News

UT’s master’s degree in nursing (MSN) program was ranked 141 out of 169 programs nationwide.
To be included in the ranking, schools were required to offer master’s programs accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. The rankings are based on faculty resources, research activity, quality assessment, student selectivity and master’s program size. This edition, for the second year, features an increased emphasis on program size, research and faculty resources.
UT has offered the MSN degree and four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs for many years. UT’s NCLEX passage rate for first-time test-takers in 2023 was 100%. UT’s NCLEX passage rate has surpassed national and state trends for over a decade.
UT’s additional health science programs include a doctoral degree in nursing practice (DNP), physician assistant medicine, allied health, human performance, athletic training, and graduate exercise and nutrition science.
The nursing program is housed in the Jenkins Health and Technology Building, which includes simulation labs, a digital anatomy lab and all the latest health technology and equipment.
UT’s part-time MBA program was ranked 171 out of 269 programs nationwide.
To be included in the ranking, schools must be accredited by AACSB International. The rankings are based on peer assessments, part-time student ratio and totals, GMAT/GRE scores, undergraduate grade point average and student work experience.
Within an 80,000-square-foot facility, the Sykes College of Business offers state-of-the-art resources such as the Huizenga Family Foundation Trading Center and more than 1,300 data ports and Wi-Fi for high-speed access. It is also home to the Center for Ethics, TECO Energy Center for Leadership, Naimoli Institute for Business Strategy, Lowth Entrepreneurship Center, Institute for Sales Excellence and the Florida Directors’ Institute.
